Tips for Applying Highly Pigmented Blush

Because these shades are deep and matte, they can easily go from “subtle flush” to “overdone” if applied too heavily. Try these techniques for a flawless blend:

• Tap the Excess: Always swirl your blush brush lightly into the pan, then tap the handle on your wrist to shake off any excess powder before it touches your face.

• The “Back-to-Front” Method: Start applying the brush at the high points of your cheekbones (near the hairline) and sweep it forward toward the apples of your cheeks. This ensures the highest concentration of pigment lands on the outer edges of the face, making it much easier to blend out.

• Fixing Mistakes: If you accidentally apply too much, don’t panic. Take a clean powder brush or the sponge you used for your foundation/liquid base and gently press it over the blush to diffuse and tone down the color.
