Dry Hair Only: Make sure your hair is completely styled and 100% dry before spraying.
Protect Your Clothes: Put a dark towel or an old t-shirt over your shoulders to catch any falling color mist.
Shake Well: As explicitly stated on the front of the can, make sure to shake well before use to properly mix the color pigments inside.
The Distance Trick: Hold the can about 6 to 8 inches away from your hair. If you spray too close, the color will pool in one wet spot and look patchy.
