How to Use Bremod Bleaching Powder

Because this is a professional-grade lightener, it must be paired with a cream developer (oxidizing emulsion) to activate the lifting process.

1. Choosing the Right Developer

The developer volume you mix with this powder depends entirely on your starting hair level and hair health:

• 20 Volume (6%): Best for gentle lifting (1–2 levels), fragile hair, or on-scalp applications (like root touch-ups).

• 30 Volume (9%): The salon standard for lifting dark or virgin hair by 3–4 levels. Great for highlights and balayage.

• 40 Volume (12%): Provides maximum lift, but should never be used on the scalp or on previously damaged/bleached hair due to the high risk of breakage.

2. The Standard Mixing Ratio

• The ideal salon ratio for Bremod bleaching powder is generally 1:2 (one part bleaching powder to two parts developer).

• Example: Mix 30g of Bleaching Powder with 60ml of your chosen developer in a non-metallic bowl until it forms a creamy, lump-free paste.

3. Application & Timing

• Application: Apply evenly to dry, unwashed hair. Work quickly to ensure the hair lifts at a uniform rate.

• Monitoring: Check a test strand every 10 minutes to observe the color change and to test the elasticity of the hair.

• Processing Time: Let it process for 20 to 45 minutes depending on the desired level of lightness. Do not leave bleaching mixtures on the hair for longer than 50 minutes, as the active chemical lifting stops and damage accelerates.

• Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, shampoo well with a clarifying or post-color shampoo, and follow up with a deep conditioning treatment or a structural bond-repair mask.
